Softball Trak Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Softball Trak! This guide will help you set up teams, add players, start a game, and track live softball stats right away.

Features at a Glance

• Teams – Create and manage HOME and VISITOR teams
• Players – Build team rosters with numbers and positions
• Games – Start a live game and track actions in real time
• Play-by-Play – Automatically records every logged action

Navigate through the app using the menu bar.

Step 1: Create Your Teams

1. Tap Teams in the menu.
2. Tap Add.
3. Enter team details:
   • Team Name (required)
   • Location (optional)
   • Team Type (Home or Visitor)
4. Tap Save.

Your new team will show up in your team list.
Tap a team to edit or delete it if you need to.

Step 2: Add Players to a Team

1. Open a team from the Teams screen.
2. Tap Players.
3. Tap Add and enter:
   • Player Number (required)
   • Player Name (required)
   • Position (optional, e.g., Pitcher, Shortstop)
   • Starter (optional)
4. Tap Save.

Players you add will now appear in the team roster and be available during games.

Step 3: Create a Game

1. Tap Games in the menu.
2. Tap Add.
3. Enter game details:
   • Game Title
   • Date & Time
   • Location (optional)
   • Home Team
   • Visitor Team
4. Tap Start Game.

The app will open the Live Game Tracking screen.

Step 4: Set Up the Live Game

Before the first pitch:

1. Select Pitchers
   At the top, use the dropdown menus to pick the HOME and VISITOR pitchers.
2. Set Batting Team
   Tap the orange bat icon to choose which team bats first.
   (typically VISITOR).
3. Confirm First Batter
   The At Bat dropdown automatically selects the first batter.

Now you’re ready to start tracking the game.

Step 5: Track the Game

• Tap action buttons to record plays such as:
  • BALL, STRIKE, FOUL
  • HIT, WALK, HIT BY PITCH
  • OUT, ERROR, STEAL
• Use the base dropdown menus to manage runners.
• View every action in the Play-by-Play Log.
• Tap Undo to quickly fix any mistakes.

Step 6: Review the Game

• Scroll the Play-by-Play Log to review all actions.
• Pitch counts, runs, hits, and errors update automatically.
• When the game ends, the final stats are saved so you can review them later.

Helpful Tips

• Undo Anytime – Reverse the last action with one tap.
• Substitutions – Change batters or pitchers using dropdowns.
• Pitch Counts – Monitor pitcher workload automatically.
• Quick Corrections – Manual base and batter selection keep stats accurate.
